The BMW Sailing Cup World Final is an international event organized by BMW AG and dedicated to non-professional sailors. Every year it takes place in a different country and Malcesine (Lake Garda) hosted the 2009 final from the 21st to 26th of April 2009 after Valencia in 2007 and Dubai in 2008.

Eight crews representing Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Malta, New Zealand, Spain and Italy. Each crew has obtained the right to participate by winning the qualifications in the respective countries. Four intense days of regattas were held in the splendid setting of Lake Garda.

ISM takes care of the sports marketing activities related to the project, the co-ordination, the entire technical and logistic organization, the support productions and the relationships with the operators and the institutions involved, all under the direction of BMW Germany.
